A community-led AI incubator, born in Tokyo.
{ Echo AI Hub }
Echo AI Hub is a community in Tokyo for people who build with AI and people who start companies with it. Learn in our courses, meet people at our events, and turn your idea into a business in our incubator.

What we believe
Founders are lonely.
Founders working in AI are lonelier still. The models change every week, and there is no one to talk things through with. You make every call yourself, and when one is wrong, you are the only one who knows. In Tokyo, language and visas add another layer to that loneliness. The first thing Echo wants to do is make sure no one has to carry it alone.
The next generation of companies won't have 100 people.
They will be many teams of three or five, each seeing one thing through, fitting together into a new kind of business. The people who build the product, the people who deliver it, the people who bring it to customers: not in the same company, but in the same network.
Starting an AI company should be equal for everyone.
- Equal information (know-how from the front line shouldn't stay inside a few people's private dinners).
- Equal tokens (Tokens shouldn't cost more just because your company is small).
- Equal chances (projects shouldn't flow only to companies that are already big).
An incubator should be built by founders and run by its community.
It shouldn't be people who have never run a company teaching people who do. People who have been down the road tell those who come after where the potholes are. When the newcomers get results, they pass it on to the next ones. We run an AI company ourselves. Echo isn't a business for us; it's something we need.
We believe that what you give
comes back around.

Five layers
Echo is an incubator, and a community too. From the front door where people gather, all the way down to GPUs.
- L1CommunityWhere people come in
The way into everything. People who meet at our locations and events become members here. Those working on a business move on to L2.
- L2AcceleratorWhere founders grow
The layer for people from L1 who are working on a business. The teams and FDEs who grow here take on company work in L3.
- L3BusinessWhere skills become work
This layer connects the teams and FDEs from L2 with work from companies. Bringing model APIs into those companies is L4's job.
- L4Token StationThe base for using models
The model platform underneath everything in L1 to L3. Members, resident teams and companies all use models through it.
- L5ComputeGPUs of our ownYear 2 onward
The bottom layer: our own GPUs, powering L4. We plan to add them from our second year, as GPUs for the community.
